Twelve-year-old May lives in a less than thriving oceanfront bed-and-breakfast run by her loving but distracted single mother. Lucy strives to care for her children without forfeiting the fun and passion of her glamorous London life, and when a kindly writer and his stylish editor come to lodge in the weeks before Christmas, opportunities are in the air.
